Scope of this Privacy Notice
The “Biogen App at SNG/SSN Congress 2017” (“App”) has been created by Biogen Switzerland AG, Zählerweg 6, 6300 Zug (“Biogen”) and our service provider SpotMe Holding SA, Boulevard de Grancy 19A, 1006 Lausanne (“SpotMe”) to enable participants of the SNG/SSN Congress to gain the most out of their visit. This Privacy Notice describes what personal data we need to collect about you for your use of the App, how we use it and your rights in relation to this collection and use. You are under no obligation to provide this information but you will be unable to register yourself and use the App should you decide not to.
Information we collect and how we use it
After downloading the App, you need to enter your name and personal password into the App to register yourself and gain access to the App’s services. Once registered as an App user, you may choose to enter further Personal Data into the App, such as:
•a photo of yourself
•your personal conference agenda
•notetaking and bookmarking App content
•taking part in live session polling and question & answer sessions
•providing feedback/evaluations to Biogen and
•sending instant messages to other congress participants.
How we store and process your information
Your personal data is stored in SpotMe’s a secure database at its data centres located in the European Union. Biogen and SpotMe maintain appropriate technical and organisational security measures to minimise the risk of unauthorised or unlawful disclosure or access to, or accidental or unlawful loss, destruction, alteration or damage to your personal data.
We retain your information for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which your personal data is collected. SpotMe will store your personal data for a maximum period of 1 year.
Safety event and product complaint reports regarding Biogen products that you may post via the App will be forwarded together with your contact information to Biogen’s Pharmacovigilance Department in accordance with our legal obligations on pharmacovigilance.
Your rights
You may contact Biogen if you would like to access your personal data or require information about the personal data that Biogen and SpotMe hold about you. You may object to the processing of your personal data for legitimate reasons and you may also request the correction or erasure of it. Please note that some of these rights are limited by applicable law and we have the right to collect, process and hold, your personal data to perform our legal obligations.
